We are excited to announce our Fall Fundraiser for 2014! This program was designed by a school administrator & customized by Graphic Publishing. Mt. Carmel Elementary will keep 100% of the money returned. Due to statewide education budget cuts, we are in need for immediate attention and participation with this fundraising effort. The philosophy of this fundraiser is… “if everyone gives a little, we can achieve a lot!” Our goal is to make this easy and convenient for ALL of our families. This fundraiser is educational, and best of all we are not selling anything. Fundraiser Timeline: · August 11: Fundraising packet sent home. · By August 18: Students returning 10 stamped addressed envelopes will receive their very own, one-of-a-kind Mt. Carmel Frisbee! · August 22: The entire school will take part in a fun-filled day of letter writing to request funding for our 10 for Technology Initiative. Details: Each student will be asked to include a special note to the 10 people identified on their envelopes. (Notes will be written during the school day) These 10 people associated with your child will simply be asked to mail $10 to help fund the technological tools that will be needed to make your child successful in his/her learning. Not only will they receive a nice letter from your child, but they will also receive a special Mt. Carmel School Calendar. We will enclose a small note card for correspondence back from the recipient! This initiative will promote letter writing as well as geography. We are encouraging students to reach out to friends and family across the nation and other countries to help us reach our goal of $25,000.00. The $25,000.00 will ensure that we can equip every classroom with a new computer and our school with upgraded technology. In addition to the new classroom computers, we will also purchase document cameras, computers, laptops, projectors, projector bulbs, document cameras, and iPads which will continue to help our students pursue excellence through technology. As letters come back from friends and family, we will post them on our wall of fame and chart the path of the letters on a large map located in the front lobby. Kerrie B Bass Principal, Mt.
