We are happy to welcome our new hip hop teacher Mr. David "Beatz" Gavilanes! David started dancing at a young age, and continued as a street dancer, battling all over Connecticut and New Jersey. He realized his true love for dance in 2009, when he began seriously training in Modern, Jazz, Ballet and Hip-Hop in Greenwich, CT. After being asked to take over the Hip Hop program at his school due to the loss of his own teacher, David also learned he had a love of teaching, and began to share his passion for dance all over CT, teaching at multiple venues. He was honored to have the opportunity to perform at the 2010 FedEx Orange Bowl with "Kool and the Gang" and then the 2011 Sugar Bowl. He began training in New York City and Broadway Dance Center, and joined Team Leggoo, run by Paul and Brian Herman in April of 2012, and this gave him the opportunity to choreograph performances for the group. David currently can be seen in multiple videos over Youtube, including features in multiple music videos, teaching at Y.A.R.D sessions, his own classes spanning over CT, and performing at Pace University. David continues to train in multiple styles of dance and hopes to spread his love of dance all over the world. Hip hop classes start tonight!
