We are heading into the second half of November 2014 - This is a great time to reflect on how your year has progressed. A great time to ask yourself quality questions - What are the great successes I have achieved? What amazing things have I accomplished this year so far? How have I grown this year? What have I learned? Go through month by month and write a list - I promise you - you will be amazed at how much you have achieved and how many lives you have touched. I would love to encourage you right now - to stop and think about how much you have done so far this year and thank yourself for that. Love yourself for that. As always you have been amazing! Now I am sure you have a voice in your head saying to you right now - Yeah but…. Well here is how you deal with that - Say to yourself - Thank you for letting me know all that I didnt do - but that is OK. It is OK that I didnt do everything I had planned for this year - it is OK. Now tell yourself that you forgive yourself for any of the ‘Yeah Buts’ popping into your mind right now… It is OK to be where you are right now! Now I would love to ask you another question - what would you love to do for the rest of this year - the 7 weeks left of this year?? Is there a goal you had at the start of the year that you planned to complete this year? is it still important to you? Would you love to still achieve it? I am going to share with you something that was a massive insight for me a few years ago - Generally speaking we plan our life from calendar year to calendar year (some people do birthday to birthday… but most on a calendar year basis)… and hence the new year resolutions and so on - and then as the year nears the end - so many people lift the foot off the pedal and cruise for the rest of the year and set new goals then for the new year - and so often are based on the goals not completed from the previous year… And that is OK. However - I started a new practise a few years ago - when November came around I started to reflect on my year and I got very clear on what I would still love to achieve before the year was out that I was not achieving - I then set a strategy in place to achieve it within the time frame I had - maximum 8 weeks. And when most people are slowing down - I kept my foot on the pedal - and I have seen an incredible trend over the past few years - some of my greatest achievements and successes have been in December - even in business - some of my greatest financial months have been December when so many people say it is their quietest month (apart from hospitality and retail of course!!) .. BUT THE BIGGEST breakthrough in this is NOT the achievement BUT my starting point then in January - I get to start from a whole new level and set goals based on the successes of my achieved goals - I trust that makes sense?? It puts a whole new perspective on the goals you set for the next year when you do this - you are on a roll, you have a higher starting point, you have confidence and are set to make the following year even better… Now, I am NOT a supporter of new year resolutions - they are so disheartening - I am talking about life goals - a life strategy - mapping out what you need to be do and have this year to keep your life in alignment with what you would love… or to create the life you would love…. My suggestion to you is to look at what you would love to achieve for the balance of this year - get really clear on it - and how that will help you raise the bar for 2015 - and then put a plan into place on how you can achieve that!! It is a tremendously inspiring way to end 2014 and start 2015 - I promise - I have been doing it for several years now and people are ALWAYS amazed at how quickly I achieve my goals. Since losing everything a few years ago - I have built 2 large businesses and speak all over the world, published bestsellers with amazing business leaders, I am a member of the invite only Evolutionary Business Council - by applying the my principles of goal orientated action - and this End of Year Strategy is one of them!! So if you are serious about mapping out your life and creating the life you love - I highly recommend this!! From my heart to yours because I know you have phenomenal strength and courage to achieve what you would so love to create in your life!! Love and Gratitude Judy
