We are lifting the potatoes from the St Andrews Parish Church Community garden this weekend. There is an all-age team of volunteers coming to lift the spuds, from 11 years to 77 years! The community garden has been a fantastic success and is nearing completion. Greenbuds, a group improving mental well-being, and the Helm Training are both accessing the garden for therapeutic gardening or training in garden landscaping. It is a triumph of team working and community spirit. Very soon the young parents and children from the St Andrews Family Support Project will also be able to come and play outside. Just as we planned to lift the tatties the Dundee Foodbank sent round a post saying they were short of food, so we will bag cleaned spuds and take them up to be distributed. It all goes to show how well the people of Dundee can work together!
