We are monitoring the progress of Typhoon Rammasun (Glenda) as it passes through the Philippines. Our field staff has informed us that disaster response systems are in place, and families in Tabaco and Legazpi have been moved to designated safe evacuation areas. The local government is preparing relief items, including food and water, for distribution to the evacuees. Our staff is currently assessing any impact on sponsored families from the Typhoon. The storm has not yet affected Manila and Quezon City, but residents of these areas have been alerted with storm warnings. As always, if your child is found to be significantly impacted by the typhoon, we will notify you directly.
