The two winners are: Cindy Huyser of Austin, Texas, for “Burning Number Five: Power Plant Poems” Charlotte Renk of Athens, Texas, for “The Tenderest Petal Hears” The six finalists are: William Wright, of Marietta, Georgia, for “The Long Weathers” Jeffrey L. Schneider, of Ellenville, New York, for “Abandoned Corners of Providence” and “This is Not for Children” Gayle Reaves-King, of Fort Worth, Texas, for “Blood Forfeit” Todd Copeland, of Waco, Texas, for “Last Light” David Chorlton, of Phoenix, Arizona, for “Waiting for the Sphinx Moth” According to Mr. Thomas (and we agree), all six of the finalists “are good enough, in my humble opinion, for immediate publication.” We offer our highest congratulations to our winners and finalists!
