We are not doing to good at the Lorio house. John Paul has been vomiting since 5/26 & the docs cant figure out why. We have had it even projectile out of his Mic-Key feeding tube. We added a new Doc Alberty who is a pediatric GI specialist. We have tried Milk of Magnesia regiment to improve motility, Prilosec, had upper GI, have a GI scope done Thursday and we are now using a Farrell bag to leave an open vent for his tummy but he has continued to vomit a couple times a day with all this. We have even changed from bolus to 18hr continuous feed only;( so he is hooked up to a bag on a pole 24/7 and two bags 18 of the 24hrs. Please pray for the docs to have divine guidance. I know it will be ok & God is allowing this for a reason but i dont know what yet. I am sad about all this and not knowing how to help him we are keeping him clean and comfortable & carrying on as close to a normal routine as we can manage. In addition we are gong through a home nursing staffing change which is always hard and so we have no help until someone new is chosen. Please pray also that God sends the nurse He chooses. For all of my family & friends who have said, let me know if you ever need anything. I need you now! Especially if you are local. For our NICU friends a break to go to the grocery or just for me to go outside by the pool to de-stress. Calls, texts, emails of encouragement, anything you think would ease the sadness and give emotional support and sanity breaks;) if you are going to the store, call me if you dont mind picking up an item or two, any encouragement, prayer, support, of any kind no matter how small means so much right now. my mom just went back to Alaska today also so I am really feeling sorry for myself. We are keeping our chin up but please storm heaven, tomorrow is Pentecost and I want our little house to shake with the mighty presence of God! Message or comment if you have any questions.
