We are now in the second set of 10 days which is about forgiveness. The key to repentance is sincerity in regretting what was done and taking steps to avoid making the same error in future. Of course, we are human and weak so we are prone to lapses but what matters is that we keep turning back to Allah with an open heart, with the desire to correct ourselves. He knows that we are imperfect as He created us but the point is to be as sincere as possible with our resolve to change for the better. With His help we can improve and get closer to Him, insha Allah.
