We are pleased to say Laycee is home!!!!! We still dont know what the bacteria that has grown in the first blood culture. And so far the second blood culture has not grown anything out. She still has no fever or any signs and symptoms of anything else. We will be following up with our primary doctor first thing next week. After consulting with our regular doctor, the doctor that was over the hospital stay with Laycee, and the infectious disease doctor this was the best route and plan we could come up with at this time. The only circumstance to us coming home is that NO ONE...ONLY BRITTANY, BRADYN, AND MYSELF ARE ALLOWED AROUND LAYCEE AT THIS TIME!!!! We are asking everyone to please...with all respect...to not try and come over. We appreciate the thoughts and concerns but at this time until we know 100% Laycee is healed and 100% better to refrain from her being exposed to even the smallest things. You are more than welcome to call and text and message us at any time to check on her. But at this time no one can be around her. She is still on antibiotics by mouth and they are still waiting on lab results and cultures to complete before they can give us a 100% answer. We are not trying to be mean but we hope everyone understands. The strict NO VISITOR policy (and yes that is how the doctors put it) will be in place until further notice. We will not be getting Laycee out unless it is to go to doctors appointments at this time...which means we will be missing church :( So Im asking everyone to please continue to pray for Laycee and keep her uplifted in prayer each and every day...we need all the prayers we can get right now. We want to thank everyone for the love, care, prayers, messages, texts, and calls everyone has given this past week and for the past 9 months of her life and ask to please continue those prayers. Yall have all become a part of Laycees journey and life as well as ours and we thank yall for that and love yall for that.
