We are sad to announce the passing of another friend to Hopewell Culture, Dr. Nomi Greber. Nomis contributions to our understanding of park resources are unparalleled. Her extensive fieldwork at Seip Earthworks, High Bank Works and Hopewell Mound Group revolutionized our understanding of how and when these places were built and used. She spent countless careful and painstaking hours working with old museum collections, drawing new insights out of materials excavated in the 19th century. She brought Ohio Hopewell peoples to life for many of us. Nomi will certainly be missed by the staff of Hopewell Culture NHP. We are happy to share the following photos from her most recent visits to the park.
