We are sad to report that two different grinds took place today (august 13th) in the Faroe islands. 450 white-sided dolphins were killed in Hvalba 136 pilot whales in Húsavik Despite the meat being tainted with mercury and other heavy metal making it unsafe for human consumption it will be distributed amongst those who participated in the grind (hunt) and locals. But with such high number there is no doubt that most will be thrown away back at sea. Faroes kill entire pods without any discrimations, which mean babies, juvenile (as you can see on this photo on the right side) or pregnant female are also killed. Please contact the Danish embassies around the world to let them know what you think about it and that this slaughter is no longer to be tolerated: um.dk/en/about-us/organisation/find-us-abroad/ Please share this post to as many people as possible, the slaughter has to stop!
