Crazy...but its true...the bill started in the senate (Senator Razenhofer) and has now been sent to the assembly. Heres the bill...open.nysenate.gov/legislation/bill/A8994-2013 Meet Assemblyman William Magee. Mr. Magee is the chair of the agriculture committee. He is the bills sponsor in the Assembly. We have asked that the assembly revise the bill to INCLUDE Americas First Kettle Chip, the Saratoga Chip, as the Official Savory Snack of NY and that they classify Greek Yogurt as the Official Sweet Snack of NY. The snack food industry is a $6+ Billion dollar a year industry and got its humble beginning right here in Saratoga Springs, NY!
