We are so proud of all the Choir students who have participated in the All-State process this year. We had 10 students qualify for the Area choir including Keegan Fenton, Trevor Glenn, Abby Franks. They auditioned for the State choirs on Saturday. This included all 5A and 6A schools from Amarillo to half of the DFW metroplex. Music is such an incredible blessing to us at Canyon High. It has helped us grow in so many ways not only as musicians but as students and citizens. We want to especially extend congratulations to Bailey DeBerry, Hannah Williams, Madison Younger, Hannah Dye, Chayse Armstrong, Mitchell Hernandez, and Aaron Hughes for making the All-state choir. This is a massive accomplishment that has taken 6 months of work. These students have put in countless hours of preparation and rehearsal on some very difficult music. They will perform with the All-State choir in San Antonio in February. There were only 12 students from the entire Panhandle selected for this honor and 7 were from Canyon. Thank you to the parents, administration and other teachers for your support and encouragement during this arduous journey. God is good and we are blessed beyond measure.
