We are still in the hospital. Cant get rid of her fever and now she has Clostridium Difficile also known as C Diff. It is a bacterial infection of the colon. She could have had if before we got here but she very well could have gotten it in the hospital. Ive read that people in the hospital getting lots of antibiotics are more at risk for getting C Diff. Also, those with weakened immune systems and those receiving chemotherapy are also more at risk. I think they caught it early and theyre treating it. Her fever has finally gone down this afternoon (knock on wood)! Dont want to jinx that! We can go home once she is fever free for 24 hours and her ANC is above 200. Yesterday her ANC was 11 and today its 64. Hoping and praying for no fever and an ANC in the morning of over 200. Lexi has been in a pretty good mood throughout her stay. Still has a smile on her face most of the time! Love that little trooper of mine!!!
