We are tempted by the devil for he is the tempter he tempted jesus for forty days while he fasted he tried to get him to show off when he said if you are the son of God jump ! Buy jesus countered him with a left hook when the devil tried to quote scripture by saying it is written the lords angeld shall catch thee so that thy foot shall not hit yhe ground well then here came christs left hook thou shall not tempt the lord thy God so we know that the devil knows scripture very well he is a pro with scripture so know this when scripture comes to mind which can be twisted against the lord and can cause harm stop and think who is really saying this and do as jesus did he resisted the devil and so he fled from jesus thats why it says resist thedevil and he shall flee from thee .
