We are told to get ahead by being first, by being the best, and pushing our way to the front while pushing others to the side. It is rare in our society to celebrate someone for being servants, and yet that is exactly what Jesus tells we are to do. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave- just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for Many. Matthew 20:27-28 This I read in my devotional today as I prepared to go and serve God. I asked who will you serve today? You Jesus served to the point of death so we may know! So who have you serve today so they may know, Him? Today I played a role in helping feed nearly 300 people in Madison today, truth is from the testimonies of the people that returned after delivering trays, we could have easily doubled that amount. You know a lot of kids dont eat if they dont go to school! A path to share the love of Jesus! I am thankful today that I saw at least 11 different churches represented in feeding these people! Thats called Kingdom work not church work! My prayer is this that just because people dont show up we dont give up. Thankful for folks that will GO and meet the need! How many will you help us feed next year? We need 50 turkeys, 30 pans of dressing, 240lbs of sweet potatoes, 750 rolls, for next year!
