We are very excited to present our Harvest Reserve: Costa Rica Tarrazu. This is the story of a amazing farm, Finca La Candelilla, and a much sought after coffee varietal, Geisha. Geisha coffee seeds found their way from the origin of all coffee, Ethiopia, to revitalize a struggling farm in Panama. From there it spread throughout Central America, based on its reputation for producing an incredible cup profile. This extraordinary plant found its way to the 70 acre farm and micro mill of Rafael and Lucia Sanchez, high in the Talamanca mountains of the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica and only a small percentage of the farm is planted with Geisha. From the mountain’s rich volcanic soil to the mills delicate and high standard approach, this plant realized even greater potential.
