We are very sad to announce that our time at Jim Belushis new music/comedy venue Belushis in Fort Myers is over before it even started. We were scheduled to start there next Thursday May 8. They have already switched formats and we really wish them all the best. We have nothing negative to say. Its business - we get that. We like all of the staff and LOVE the room! However, we were REAL excited to build a killer night of music there every thursday with Critical Mass (David Carlton Johnson, Ray Nesbit and Myself) All three of us left our other steady gigs so we could form this power trio on thursdays upstairs from the Tilted Kilt Fort Myers. So, face-friends, let me know how many of you WOULD have come out to hear us play on thursdays at Belushis? Im just curious... AND, If you know of any venues or clubs that would like us crazy musicians on thursdays... I guess we are now available. Here is a little info on the band: CRITICAL MASS features David C. Johnson on bass guitar, keyboards and vocals, Ray Nesbit on guitars, keyboards, looping and vocals, and Darrell Nutt on drums, percussion hybrid and NO vocals. Since 2000, David has toured with the Grammy Award winning legends, The Neville Brothers. He is also Musical Director of the Aaron Neville Quintet, with performances on David Letterman, Jay Leno, the Today Show, Ellen DeGeneres and The Martha Stewart Show to his credit. Ray Nesbit has performed live or worked in the studio with The Moody Blues, Kip Winger, members of The Allman Brothers Band, The Goo Goo Dolls, AC/DC, Derek Trucks Band and more. He is a producer, musician and mix engineer at The Mix Factory Studios in Bonita Springs, FL. Darrell Nutt has written and performed music for TV Networks: CNN, FOX, The Speed Network, HGTV, and The Oprah Winfrey Network and has played drums on commercials for Budweiser, Exxon Mobil, and Procter & Gamble. Darrell has performed live with The Warren Brothers , The Forester Sisters, Robbie Nevil, members or Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Goo Goo Dolls, AC/DC and more. He is also a producer and musician at The Mix Factory Studios in Bonita Springs, FL.
