We did everything, begged, pleaded, prayed, showed you the facts and figures, told you about the women and girls, shared our stories about ourselves and prayed some more. All these years we have tried to get people to pay attention to the tragedy in this country, the violence, the murders, those left physically, mentally and emotionally scarred forever because of Domestic Violence. We told you about the millions of children whose lives are forever changed, but you didnt want to hear that either. You turned your head. Didnt want to deal with it. Now, because a professional football player lost his job due to the apparent beating of his girlfriend and the new policy of the NFL, it has suddenly become one of the most talked about subjects of the past two weeks everywhere we turn. Domestic Violence. I am thankful for the wake up call but sorry for the young woman involved. I could care less about Ray Rice losing his job. Its sad also that now all kinds of businesses are going to jump on board.....not because they care, but because as usual,they smell money to be made. I have already seen two commercials using this theme. Shame on you. #DomesticViolenceAwarenessSpeakingOutForAbusedWomenByGodsGrace
