We donated 2 wheelchairs, a sit to stander, and 3 tomato seats with wheeled bases to HSE schools today. We have worked out a local exchange. Through our amazing school PT, the wheelchairs were given to families in need, the stander will be used in classrooms as will the tomato seats. We asked them to allow families to keep over summers and vacations and return to continue to pay it forward. While its been a long time dream of mine to create a medical equipment exchange in Indy, I have run into road block after road block. But, we finally found a storage space at HSE schools and a way to run it at least locally through HSE and kids with OIs. Donate and pay it forward- so many families in need or who just need to try equipment out before spending precious insurance or Medicaid dollars.
