We dont get to post updates as often as we like, but here is one that Laconia Little League is extremely proud to post! Down 9-7 in the bottom of the 6th inning the 8/9 Junior All-Star Team did not give up. Leading off the inning Dylan Ellsworth smacked a base hit. He was followed up by a short fly ball that a Bow Blue player made a leaping grab to rob Brody Rollins of a hit. The next batter, Andrew Rowley, smashed a triple over the outfielders heads into right center field. Dylan scored on a close play at home plate. Score now 9-8 with one out and a runner on 3rd base. Lucas Kirk drove Andrew in with an infield line drive hit to tie the game up at 9. Tim Nedeau came in to pinch run for Lucas in a brilliant coaching move, as Sam Knowlton hit a sacrifice back to the pitcher, and before the Bow team could react Tim was already standing on 3rd base! With a chance to become the hero, with two outs now in the bottom of the 6th inning, second baseman Kaden Dolloff dug in at the plate. With careful selection, Kaden slammed a game winning RBI single as Tim scored and the Laconia 8/9 Junior All-Star Team moves on to the finals against Bow Gold on Saturday at 10 am! Congratulations to the team and to coaches Francis Rowley, Brandon Combs, Mike Mudgett, and Mariano Sanchez - good luck tomorrow!
