We dont usually submerge our baby bats to bathe them but in this instance we really didnt have a choice. This poor little boy was rescued by Kelly this evening after being found on his dead mother covered in vicious biting ants, maggots and fly eggs. Seen here reclining in a warm, weak Bettadine bath, Lucky is facing an uphill battle and his future is uncertain. Judging by her condition, mum had been dead for around 3 to 4 days and Lucky was indeed fortunate to be rescued as he would not have survived another night and the ants would have killed him by morning.
