We dream big..there are kids who dont even know they can dream! My 6 year old girl with big dreams of becoming a princess or a dentist or a teacher or a firefighter cannot touch her snack after school until she smothers her hand with Hand Sanitizer...while there are kids in India who spend their entire time in clay and dirt (and NO SCHOOL) while their parents mould bricks to put food on their table. They stay in temporary huts and move along from brick kilns to brick kilns while their parents toil their day to put food on the table (A table??). They dont know anything other being another brick worker when they grow up. Last year the funds raised by SWARAM (swaram.org) provided day care and primary education to these kids. Our funds supported 48 brick kiln worker kids (An average of 200 workers per brick kiln). we wanted to do big this year and we are expanding this model to adopt close to 500 kilns this year.
