We got a wonderful update and some great photos from Butters Forever Foster Mom, Cyndi, today. We LOVE Cyndis updates on Butters. Cyndi says: He is still an absolute joy to be around and I cannot express enough just how much I absolutely love this little guy. The biggest news of late is that I recently learned Butters is not a Pekingese-Papillon as originally suspected. He is a Tibetan Spaniel or Tibbie as they are called. Not a breed that is seen much of in the United States. They are apparently often confused for being a Pekingese mix He has such a unique little personality. Such as ... he has to rest or sleep with his head on a pillow or resting on something. I have picked up little pillows made for babies just so he can rest or sleep with his head propped up. But the latest is that he has taken to what I call Cuddle Time with Mama, me being his Mama. This has become a daily occurrence. He will walk over to me, moan while gently pawing at me ...usually missing my leg, but it is the moaning I always hear. That means he wants to cuddle. Cuddling consists of him laying on his back spread across my body length wise. I will often have to lay flat on the ground to do this. He will stay there motionless & lifeless for 20minutes. He doesnt require that I rub him, but I normally do. It is so hard not to with fur that fuzzy and soft. After about 20minutes he will roll off on his own and go do something else until the next time. I included a picture of him in cuddle mode. And he still loves his walks. It is the only time he moves fast is on a walk. Put a leash on him and he can move. In fact, he loves to sprint and jog too. Attached is the picture I got of all three of them; Butters, Rio (his sister) and Molly (my boyfriends dog). I am especially fond of this picture because it isnt often that all three will in line like that. I hope you find these pictures & update enjoyable.
