We had a magnificent weekend in Newport.....Watched my nephew Aaron marry the love of his life, Emmy, had a terrific dinner with my old H.S, friend Cliff and the love of his life, Vicki and, I, with the love of my life, Marina, spent some real quality time with the original love of my life, my mom. It was picture perfect........and then....I saw that I had missed a call from another old H.S. friend, Mike Johnson, who also lives in R.I. Oh shit, was the first thing that came to mind. The mind from which the fact that Mike was there too slipped. I listened to his message - Really?.....REALLY? I called him....he answered with, REALLY? and proceeded to rightfully read me the riot act. Oh well. They say that at my age, the mind is the 2nd thing to go. I forget what they said the first was!
