We had a pond that we were preparing for fry and it was doing so well that there was an explosion in the daphnia population in it. Mark decided to harvest some of the daphnia and transfer them into some of the other ponds where we already had fry. He rigged up a pump to pump the water from the pond through a fine cage net and harvested them twice a day for several days. There were still a phenomenal amount left in the pond! Daphnia are the perfect food for fry.
