We had an interesting trip. On our way through florida our car broke down 40 miles from any town. We look back and know God was watching out for us. Dan just upgraded to full coverage insurance so we were able to get a tow. Our car broke down about 4 pm. Everything in this small town, Maryanna Florida closes at 5pm. Dan decided to call a Nissan dealership to see if they had a rental car. Just happened to talk to the nicest person Brian who did not know us at all but saved the keys for the last rental car for us. We had the car towed to a small mechanic shop there. Brian drove to the mechanic shop and picked us up. We left for our destination 400 miles away. got a good deal for the rental. the guy called him monday and said the car needed a tranmission but didnt know how to work on a volkswagon. dan found A transmission for a volkswagon and had it shipped. Wednesday the mechanic called and said it needed a flex plate. that would be another 500. dan found one for 60 and the place said they would ship it for it to arrive no later than thursday. the place is only open mon- frid 9-5. so if they dont have it done by friday 5pm we had to return the rental and would have no car. thursday the shop said the flex plate had not arrived. dan called ups and apparently the shipment was shiped wrong. would arrive friday about 430 to the shop. so after lots of bickering with ups the package was 20 miles away. ups said it had to be a signed letter from the company with their letterhead. they finally agreed to have a identified person pick it up. the mechanic shop said they wouldnt. Again Brian at Nissan goes out of his way to have this package picked up so we could get home. Our car was finished at exactly 445. I say we need more Brians in the world. I also have to say during each situation I prayed for god to watch over us. and I truly believe he did.
