We had quite a drive yesterday from Phoenix to Roosevelt Lake. We left Phoenix at Apache Junction and took the Route 88, or The Apache Trail, over the mountains. The road was narrow, steep in places, twisty and turney. It was not too bad till we saw the sign that there was no paved road for the next 22 miles. It was just a dirt road and most of the time you were down to 10 mph. Here are some of the photos. We got to Flagstaff at 6.30pm. We left Phoenix with a temperature of 102 F and arrived in Flagstaff with a temperature of 72 F.
