We had such a wonderful weekend at McHenry Church. Sis Patti Hatfield done a wonderful job teaching Sunday School. She referenced Matt 16:3b on discerning the face of the Sky. We put confidence in groundhogs, wooly worms, foggy mornings, thunder and lightning, but, we dont believe what we read in the Bible. Also, she shared a comparison of sheep vs. people. We are so much like them (i.e. - they are stubborn and insist on their own way). Sound familiar???? They need a Shepherd to guide them and we need one too. Then Roy Smith followed in ministering the Word in Daniel about Shadrack, Meshack and Abedigo (sp:). They were COMMITTED and willing to die if necessary in order to obey God. People no longer want to COMMIT, not to God, not to their family and not to their Church. Bro. Danny R. Overton ministered last night on The Holy Spirit. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Nothing greater than being saved, but God wants to give us more. He used John 14: 15-17, 26. And the Praise and Worship team done wonderful also. So we had a blessed day. Just a great day all around.
