We had the honor of meeting this little boy yesterday, and would like to introduce you all to our new friend, Wesley Gilland. Wesley was diagnosed in December of 2012 with medulloblastoma, brain cancer that had spread throughout the lining of his spine. He underwent surgery to remove the tumor, radiation to treat it, and continues to go through chemotherapy treatments. Though the surgery, the tumor, and the treatments have causes Wesley to lose many of the skills he once had - speech, potty training, and much more - he loved to play with the new toys we brought him (especially this yellow car!) and even said "thank you" in sign language!
