We have 2 more shows this weekend, and thats it for the rest of this holiday season. THANK YOU! WE LOVE YOU ALL! WELL BE BACK NEXT YEAR! Actually, were open all year long, but well be back in 2015 ... you know what I mean. Stop twisting my words around! The two shows are on Saturday December 13th. The first is Craftalicious and is one of my all-time favourite shows.Weve been going to this one for a couple of years (I think this is our third) and we always have a blast. Its a really great venue: Knox Presbyterian Church on Elgin, next to the courthouse. My darling, the Dragonlady, will be at this show in my stead. The second show is Flavours of Ottawa Westboro Holiday Specialty Food Market at St. Georges Parish Hall, 415 Piccadilly Ave. (off Wellington St. West). Piccadilly is a block east of Island Park. This is our annual OSFA Christmas show, and is a favourite of the Ottawa Foodie scene. My name isnt on the playbill, but Im crashing this party! Ill be there no matter WHAT they say! YOU HEAR ME ESTABLISHMENT? IM BRINGING VANILLA TO THE MASSES! I have a tonne of DrinkPucks to make between now and then because I keep running out. If I find some time, I might even make some Pig Candy. Yeah. Thick-cut bacon with a sliver of chocolate and a bit of smoked salt. I only make them for this time of year, so get there early and ask for it by name. Now, here is the EXTRA SPECIAL news. I found a couple of boxes of my older vanilla bottles. These are a couple of years old now. Since each bottle has a vanilla bean in it, it has continued to mature over that time. People tell me all the time that they love the richness of my extracts. Well, baby ... these are the ones youve been looking for because they are really nice. Heres the best part: I want to get rid of these old bottles to promote my new bottles (pictures are in my gallery). That means a price reduction. $10/bottle! Thats pricing from 4 years ago. I only have rum or brandy available and wont be bringing any of the new bottles. For price comparison, my new bottles are 20% larger, and cost $15. What else will we have? Vanilla sugar, vanilla beans (of course) DrinkPucks, COCKTAIL BITTERS (we just bottled some new batches), flavoured maple syrups, pumpkin & spice flavouring, who knows what Ill come up with before the show? It could be the secret to world peace.
