We have a candle lit for sweet Griffin. I first came across - TopicsExpress

We have a candle lit for sweet Griffin. I first came across Griffins page over two years ago. I had just gotten a kindle fire and was trolling around facebook and stumbled across his page. I spent almost the entire day going through his whole page....looked at all of the pictures, watched all of his videos. I was so touched by his zest for life despite being dealt an undesirable hand. He was the purest of souls, with a heart that knew nothing but love. He was clearly meant to end up with such a loving family like Lisa, Chris and Barney (and then soon, sweet Lila). For all that they had to give him, he was never stingy with returning the rewards. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon his page and feel like a better person for having been able to share in his tremendous life for the last few years. I am still spilling tears thinking about the sad fact that he is no longer here, but clearly his mission on earth was complete. He brought thousands of people together, who would have otherwise never connected. He showed us all that being different is not bad. Being different doesnt mean being broken. And it certainly does not mean less deserving. I participated in our local Relay for Life event this weekend and I walked for almost two and a half hours straight Friday night. I walked for my great aunt, for my husbands cousin, for a little boy who touched my heart and for Griffin, who rolled across my heart years ago. Like I explained to someone there, just because Griffin was a four-legged child, didnt mean he didnt deserve to be recognized for his struggle and battle with cancer. Cancer doesnt discriminate, why should we? As we did our balloon release last night, I hope you heard me whisper your name. Run free tuff guy!!!! Continue to inspire and thank you for all you have done for me and thousands of others!!! God bless you Lisa, Chris, Barney and Lila. Thank you again for opening your doors to us! I look forward to seeing what you are able to do in keeping his legacy alive and well and inspiring others!!!!
