We have a lull between the cloudy, rainy weekend and a strong to severe storm event for Tuesday. Mostly cloudy this morning, with areas of haze and fog. We have spotty showers this morning. Temperatures are in the low 60s. Partly cloudy today, with a strong storm possible to pop-up but breaks for some sunshine today as well. Its a breezy day, with a Southeasterly wind up to 15 miles per hour. The higher elevations will have gusts up to 40 miles per hour today.Tonight will be mostly cloudy with scattered pop-up showers and storms possible. The low will be around 62 degrees, with a Southeasterly wind gusting around 20 miles per hour. A High Wind Watch is in place for the Smokies for Monday night and Tuesday. Gusts will top out around 60 miles per hour, as a strong front approaches. Tuesday strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible as a cold front slowly approaches. The front will slowly bring in heavy rain, on already soaked ground, so flash flooding and runoff issues will be possible. It will be a windy day, and some of the stronger to severe storms could bring in hail and potentially create an isolated tornado. Stay informed to stay safe! Meteorologist Heather Haley
