We have a very sad story to report this morning. Three puppies - TopicsExpress

We have a very sad story to report this morning. Three puppies were cruelly abandoned and one tragically died. A member of the public discovered the pups in a cardboard box on Edinburgh Road between the Newhouse Roundabout and Salsburgh in Lanarkshire. Two surviving female pups, aged between five and six weeks old, are now receiving care at our Lanarkshire centre. The rottweiller cross German shepherds have been named Katniss and Primrose. Katniss and Primrose are underweight and have ulcerated paw pads as a result of urine scald. This indicates they had been toileting where they lay for a long period. Dumping these defenceless pups was very callous and has resulted in one of their deaths. If Katniss and Primrose hadnt been found they would also have struggled to survive. We are concerned for the welfare of the pups mother and any remaining littermates. If anyone can help us trace the person who owned them we would appeal to them to call us on 03000 999 999. scottishspca.org/news/1892_abandoned-puppy-dies
