We have all it takes to move Nigeria to the next level but we live - TopicsExpress

We have all it takes to move Nigeria to the next level but we live in an era where people that are given the responsibility to organize things are blaming the man in the street for their obvious flaws. The day our leaders wake up and live to the dictates of their oath of office, then and only then shall we occupy our rightful position in the world socio-economic equation. For now, we are just apportioning blames even to those who are not under any oath to get things right while those charged with the responsibility are busy flouting the rule of law itself. The Hausa/Fulani thinks the problem is the Igbos or Yourubas, the Yorubas thinks that the problem is either the Hausa/Fulanis or the Igbos. The Igbos thinks the problem is either the Hausa/Fulanis or the Yourubas. Then, the minority ethnic group thinks the problem is the major ethnic groups. Nobody looks inward and we show these strain of retrogressive thinking in all aspects of our national life... "that Igbo man", "that Yoruba man", "that Hausa/Fulani man", "that Tiv man", "that Ijaw man", etc. None is regarded as a Nigerian and that is why once we see ourselves in any position of authority, we begin our ethnic jingoistic onslaught followed by quantum looting of public treasury and deceitful leadership. Its a big shame! Wake up Nigerians! Here is the only place our children have a rightful and unchallengeable claim of ownership. God save Nigeria!
