We have always been drawn to the ‘color’ black. It is written - TopicsExpress

We have always been drawn to the ‘color’ black. It is written like that since some say that it’s not a color, for that is what they taught me in school. By those rules, if black isnt really a color, then neither is the opposite - white. Scientists say that Black is the absence of light, and white simply the absence of color. Black has also been the symbolic hue for evil for as long as there has been good. Perhaps this is due to mankinds fear of the dark. We all have become acquainted with the darkness that lurks in our souls, embedded within us, like a glitch in the matrix, or a tiny virus lurking unknown in a giant computer; a fear so strong that the lack of light would drive us into the grips of lunacy. Long before civilizations; long before we knew how to use tools, Man has braved the blackness of infinity—the night—the sky that touches down to our feet but extends out forever through space, possibly time, and back again with only the moon and stars reflections to guide them- alone, walking through the night, ye hunters and gatherers - with nary another creature anywhere in sight save for a curious animal at his side. And yet the fear we feel in-between the darkness of night (betwixt our perceptions of reality) is but a sliver of this world. How many dimensions are bestowed upon the universe? This planet? How many creatures call it home? How much do any of us really know about where we go after we die? The Tibetan book of the dead speaks of the Bardo, a purgatory-like place where you can exist as you await reincarnation or even travel to in a lucid dream. If there are others, other beings we can feel, even if just a little presence... who rules them/it? What rules govern them? What laws do they live by? Or is the inverse true? Do they rule us? Who is the King of the World? What kind of being wears the crown? For a night filled with satellites and chariots in the sky, it would be absurd to distrust your feelings and delude yourself into thinking humans were the only intelligent life on this dying Earth. Close your eyes right now. Are you alone? Are you really ever? Taking a moment to close one’s eyes would reveal the blackness is only skin-deep, for the light of a lantern or a candle could still penetrate the eyelids. As you think about this, imagine you are King, if just for one day- Whose face does this light fall upon next? Where is the lightless abyss? The true blackness? Is it what we have come to call black holes? We know they are not really holes at all. Dark matter cannot be seen directly with telescopes; evidently it neither emits nor absorbs light or other electromagnetic radiation at any significant level but still accounts for a large part of the unaccounted mass that makes up our universe. So maybe a more appropriate question is: Why does this darkness exist? Does it have a purpose? What mystery lay below its blanket of nothingness? What if I told you that we knew of some of the things behind the veil of blackness? We know of the things that creatures feared in those millennia passed. We have interacted with some of them, and sometimes, they with us. Our primitive drive to fight back the darkness with light is just that, a reflex for a terrestrial being. The veil of true darkness blinds much from human sight, but our once-keen senses can still sometimes see a silhouette, feel a touch or hear their murmurs... if you want to. Now, multitudes of secret worshippers and secret societies long to hear the whispers of the sleeping Insanities, Ritualistically and ranking to unlock lifes mystery, w clearance, in sequence, in secret. Are they longing to reach comfort, stability or are they misguided? Forever chanting; forever praying to transcend our tangible plane- to scale its walls like a young prince might imagine. As they wait for the Stars to align to themselves once more, we would like to take this time to peek underneath the veil that has long separated our sanity and madness... and share it with you.
