We have an important question that requires the feedback of our listeners and friends: In September 2009, Mike Church’s Founding Father Films released “The Spirit of ’76” first in a various formats (Audio and DVD). By February of 2010 over 4,000 copies had been sold. In contrast, in February 2014 Mike Church Released the equally ambitious “Times That Try Men’s Souls alongside The World’s first ever compiled, Washington’s Retreat & Crossings Map. In the same time frame, 4 months, “Times That Try” has barely sold 600 copies. This leaves everyone involved in making these features wondering if we are: A. Choosing the wrong subject matter? B. Not doing as good a job in executing the story? C. People have just lost interest in buying audio and video media features about the Founding Generation D. Many have left the Mike Church Show & site because he isnt “conservative” enough, anymore. ( or some form of that?) Or something else altogether. There are tremendous, very expensive resources plowed into these endeavors. But it appears that our fan base seems to be saying “spend your time doing something else”. Can you offer suggestions or tips as to why one subject was well received, while the other was not? What are your thoughts? We appreciate your candor and thoughts on these things!
