We have been back in STL for four days following a visit to CLV with Ty, Becky and the grand girls. It has been a long time since we spent Halloween with the grand girls so this year, we decided to make the trip. We had a wonderful time. The girls were simply charming and adorable. The Minnie Mouse dress worked out beautifully and fit perfectly. I did have to make a slight alteration to accommodate the mouse tail but other than that, perfecto. I had the privilege of helping Emma with her cotton candy costume. She used two back of fiber fill which had been tinted mostly pink and then put in a big cotton candy bag. She wore one in front and one in back, sandwich board style. My task was to assist in finding a way to create a harness so that she could wear the bags. That worked out well too. Tess was a geisha and looked very cute. Pop and I got to go to the Halloween parade at Vivis and Tesss school. What a treat! So many little kids dressed in a variety of costumes. Fortunately, it was not raining for the parade. That did not last, though. CLV was soon a rainy mess which of course poured down over the trick and treaters. Although soggy, the girls spirits were undampened as they went from house to house collecting lots and lots of candy. We all ate lots of chocolate over the next several days. I do not think I could look at a candy bar at this time. Great time with the kids, young and old.
