We have been getting a tremendous response to the attempts we have made on Facebook and Twitter, Half Mile of Hell webpage and Turning the Barrels newsletter to try to reach and communicate with not only our drivers but also their families, sponsors, friends and wagon fans everywhere. We want to recognize and thank several people for their efforts to maximize these communications. Check us out at @WPCAChucks on Twitter, World Professional Chuckwagon Association on Facebook and on wpca on the web or receive a copy of the newsletter in your email. Thanks to Jessica Hoy for looking after our social media sites the last two years and for teaching some of us how to do this stuff. You have seen her Facebook posts, her tweets and retweets on a regular basis. BJ Normand posts Driver of the Week and Race of the Week features every week. He started 36 weeks before the first race so every driver for 2015 will be covered by the time we go to Grande Prairie in May. If you have a favorite race you would like to see, let BJ know and maybe it will be featured one week. Billy Melville posts Throwback Thursdays, Flashback Fridays etc. looks after the Half Mile of Hell website and creates the Annual Spectators Guide along with his well known co-host role on the radio broadcast. If you have an old time driver, outrider or race you would like to see, let Billy know and maybe it will show up one week. He has an outstanding archives library and can answer any question and find any historic photo. Ed Wittchen posts From the Archives on a regular basis using old newspaper clippings from the 80s and 90s. He is also responsible for the monthly newsletter Turning the Barrels. If you want to receive an electronic copy of the newsletter just send him an email at [email protected] with your name and email address and you will be added to the monthly email list.
