We have been intentionally raising the bar of how we do everything in order to stay true to our vision--Creating a community that attracts unchurched people and leads all into a growing relationship with Christ--by: 1. Raising the music level in volume and in tempo 2. Allowing baptismal candidates to choose someone meaningful from their faith journey to baptize them 3. Upping our security in the childrens area And what have we seen? A. 14 baptisms last Sunday (and the third baptism service of the year.) B. New parents visiting who have gushed about how we do child security, allowing them to relax in worship C. More new faces who bring additional new faces D. Comments on guest cards saying how awesome it is that laypeople are allowed to baptize Something is beginning to happen here...and its exciting to see and be a part of!
