We have been talkin bout Rockhouse today and it really is one very popular trail, especially for the extreme riders. The ROCK as it is humorously known- is the largest single trail system and one of three original HMT systems (opened in October 2000). The ROCK is also noted for its wide variety of all types of trail riding and the largest number of lodging facilities directly adjacent to the trail in both towns of Man and Gilbert, WV. Percentage breakdown of trails by difficulty rating are as follows; Easiest (Green): 31% More Difficult (Blue): 29% Most Difficult (Black): 16% Most Difficult (Red/Black): 8% Single Track (Orange): 16% The Rockhouse Trailhead has a 2+ acre parking lot, staffed trailhead (hours of operation), on site restrooms, permits & merchandise
