We have begun a new day and I cant help in thinking maybe as youths we begin to think about the ideals of humanism and how to embed them into our democratic system of governance. Maybe then we shall learn to be respectful of our brothers and sisters whilst having different political views. Lets create fora where we can disagree without being disagreeable. Where we can articulate our ideologies without insulting one another. Where the call to nationalism and national development superceeds our party and tribal labels. We are Zambians first and foremost. Lets unite to develop our land, lets unite to ensure no child lacks food or education or shelter or cloth. Lets rise and fight our common enemy: disease, ignorance, injustice, poverty. Lets stand for mother Zambia.
