We have good and bad news. Good news first.... The reflux from his bladder into his kidney is now only on the right side instead of both. The retention in the right kidney (which they did some repair late last year on) has not gotten any worse. His kidney function is still great despite the retention. Now for the bad news... The left kidney blockage did not clear on its on as was hoped so they will have to go in to place a stint and then six weeks later remove the stint. This basically means he will have two kidney surgeries. Estimated time is either September or October. This is not an emergency situation, I would just prefer to get it done before the holidays so he can be his normal rambunctious self during the holidays this year.
