We have had a crazy busy day... Great Blue Heron~fractured spine. Euthanized Box Tortoise with injured plastron and maggot infestation~stable for now. Dr. Askew is growing 2 of the maggots. We will recheck him in a week. Mississippi Kite~both wings dislocated. Euthanized. Red Phased Eastern Screech Owl~concussion. Should do very well. Little Hawk (will ID tomorrow~yall know ID aint my best quality. They are all medicated the same). Very critical. Neurological. Legs have feeling but not much movement. Tomorrow we will know definite prognosis. MANY hit by car possums checked. No babies, thank goodness. We want to thank each if you who rescued, transported and checked pouches. We could not do this without each one of you! I will need a name for the lil Hawk and the lil Owl. If the Hawk does not make it, I like them to have a name...
