We have had an extensive and consultative meeting that was effected as per the information by Nairobi Based CID-Mr. McDonald Okoth (who was present), about allegations of 5 Daystar University students being kidnapped. The CID officer came along with 4 other security personnel from CID office, Nairobi. The officers who represented Daystar at the Main Campus meeting were: University Services Manager- Mr. Wycliff Mutanda, Accommodation & Catering Assistant- Mr. Hudson Musera, Dusa Chairman- Mr. M. Khatiebere, Dusa Social Wefare- Mr. M. Ndunda, Lavington Security Supervisor- Mr. Goitana S. Somebody of phone number 0718533495 (of which true-caller reveals the owner as Virginia), had called relevant authorities saying that he had kidnapped the 5 students, who are still anonymous, though his phone went-off until now its mteja. We have been able to keenly engage all the Daystar University students groups that went out officially yesterday and it turns out that all are safe n sound. The groups we have confirmed with are: SCOBEC Annual Dinner, Kesha at VRoad Campus, Mwanga at Nairobi Baptist Church, Sports team to Kisumu and all the organizers of such teams have confirmed that their members are safe and sound. This does not rule out the allegations that this may not be a true picture since most of us somehow take part in various activities both official as per university and also private arrangements without us knowing. My call as DUSA Chair is that let us be our brothers and sisters keepers as we extensively network and find out if all our fellow comrades are intact. Should anyone get relevant info to this matter, feel free to call the university- both student and staff management & governance arms of your reach. So far we are not sure if allegations affect Main Campus, VRoad Campus or both, as this is uncertain. Let us network, keep calm, vigilant and prayerful. God Protect and Bless Daystar University. Amen! Cc Shinefm Daystar #DaystarUniversity
