We have had environmentalism in this country for half a century and yet every living system on the planet is in decline. And the rate of decline is accelerating and there has not been a single peer reviewed scientific article that has been published in the past thirty years that contradicts that statement. Whats happened over and over again is that environmental impact assessment is basically just environmentalists tutoring developers and industrialists on how to develop and industrialize in a more friendly way. And that is not possible. Things are getting worse. Where are the migratory songbirds? Where are the salmon? Where are the pronghorn antelope of the West coast? There are less and less forests, less and less fish in the oceans. We should not be surprised that people are about to take more militant actions when these things are being proposed and built.
