We have lost an iconic leader in Louisianas agriculture industry today. Bobs steadfast support of and aggressive advocacy for our states second-largest industry strengthened families, expanded our economy and preserved a time-honored way of life. Bobs life was one of service to our state and country, first as a marine and then as the states longest serving Agriculture Commissioner. Louisiana is a stronger and better place today because of Bobs service and contributions. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Millie, and family as we mourn his passing and give thanks for his life of service.
