We have re-opened registration for our re-scheduled Asheville area fire recovery workshop. Original registrants have filled up most of the available participant slots, but there are still a few open. Please register or contact our C2C offices soon if you are interested. Fire Recovery Workshop Click here for a brief informational video about this training program. C2C will stage a mock museum in a fire training center where a controlled burn will affect an array of object types and storage materials. The following day workshop participants will practice principals of Incident Command Systems to enter the building and to retrieve and triage artifacts. They will also practice basic fire recovery techniques such as wrapping for freezing and soot sponging. We are hoping to build additional connections with local firefighters across the state to develop more of these workshops.
