We have two videos to go with our Friday Flashbacks. This video is for Fire Academy 2012. It was the 15th video and an ambitious undertaking, in part, because some chiefs and others in the video had lines to speak. This provided an unexpected bonus because that provided extra material for a bloopers segment at the end. I also tried to include what the news business calls nat sound, using the voices of the training staff while the training was taking place. This video was also unique because it used a lot of music from video games, such as Halo and Gears of War. A more serious segment in the middle of this video used music is from Mazzy Stars Into Dust, and appears totally in black and white, except for a few seconds of flames. Our big finale for this video had a Star Wars theme, specifically from the big finale in episode IV: A New Hope. It was all tongue-in-cheek and fun to produce. Hopefully, all of the video will be allowed to download here. If not, youll just have to find a graduate from Academy 2012 and borrow his/her DVD. Enjoy. B.G.
