We just finished with the doctor and both Lily Beth and I feel like we still do not have a lot of answers. Here is what we do know: Lily Beths hand function is fabulous with about 75% hand function. Her hand function increased significantly from our visit in December and the doctor is very pleased with the function she gained in the last 3 months. Occupational therapy will be winding down soon! Chest x-Ray came back clean. MRI of arm came back with some spots on her arm which could be edema or cancer cells. The next MRI in 3 months will clarify things. So, this is basically a baseline MRI post surgery. The doctor could not state there is no cancer in her arm arm. The surgery caused many changes and this is why they cannot determine what is in there. The cyst on her ovary will be evaluated in 6 weeks and determine whether surgery and biopsy is warranted. Sarcomas are not textbook cancers and nothing is out of the question with this cancer. Overall, we are pleased that there is no blatantly identified cancer in her. We can breathe a sigh of relief for now, and praise God, wait patiently and carry on. Thank you for your prayers and continued support.
